We are Michiel and Yvonne, and in July 2024 we embarked on a new adventure by taking over this former farm. Our first visit was in the depths of January, facing at least a meter of snow. As we dug our way up to the property through the blowing snow, we were amazed by the panoramic view and the peaceful atmosphere. We knew we had found our place. Our dream of creating a vibrant yet tranquil space where people can stay, gather, and connect has been with us long before we met in 2017. As we shared our dreams, we quickly realized we had a common vision, blending our individual aspirations into one shared dream. And now, some 7 years later, we have found the place where we can turn our dream into reality. We are at the beginning stages of this enormous project, still settling in and making the farm our own. The farm includes 12 buildings, some partially renovated, but most still in need of significant work. We didn’t buy this place to rush through renovations and be done with it as soon as possible. Instead, we see it as a long-term communal project. A transformation we plan and fulfill together with others who are curious about farm renovations, community building, living close to nature, or simply needing a change of scenery. This is a place for experimentation, prototyping, and creative thinking. We want to leave this place better than we found it and inspire others to do the same. Join us in this journey.
